Liberty Or Death: Which Part 34 A Raid on God’s Chicken Coop

God’s family are we partly Responsible.

It is not a far fetched possibility that Christians themselves are the ones making this raid.

Perhaps some folk want to be God’s child without having to change a thing in their life.

Jesus is standing in the wings waiting upon us to turn to Him and let Him do His part to purify us and rid us of our sins.

But all too often we seek a cheap grace. A salvation at no cost to us.

But we need to count the true cost of our salvation. We must no more allow anyone to raid our chicken coop, not even our deceitful hearts.

Yes we are saved by grace but only as we take hold of that grace with a healthy dose of faith.

Liberty Or Death: Which Part 32: The life of Christ in us

As Christians we all need to live, breath, and act as Jesus did. In other wards the life that Jesus lived and still lives should be the life that is within us.

Part of letting the mind of Jesus take over our lives is to let His attitude be placed within our every fiber. this is the only way that the Life of Christ is going to be in us.

We are to put into captivity every thought, every word, and every action of our lives and place the in the hands of Jesus.

We are ever to be asking ourselves what would Jesus be found doing if He were here among us? Would Jesus be found going about filling His life full of the pleasures of this world?

True He most likely would be found among them but what would He be found doing.

Cain and Abel the First Family Feud

When I see the increasing hatred that fills this world, my heart aches. But as bad as it is, I realize that sadly, at this point we have had thousands of years to learn this doleful lesson. We have had time and generations of training to fall further and further from our once high state. Yet I still wonder how we could fall so far and feel so little for our brothers and sisters.

In sorrow I look around and vainly seek to understand how we reached this point. But then when I consider the story of Cain and Abel I wonder all the more as I consider that only one generation from the Garden of Eden, only one generation from the privilege of walking and talking with God, and hate so fully filled the heart of Cain that he thought nothing of slaughtering his own brother. Imagine that, not even a hundred years from creation and hate had already so taken hold of the heart that murder resulted.

Sadly, if hate could close the heart and ears of Cain so close to the days of peace and purity, then is it any surprise that hate has taken such a hold today? If at the foundation of our fall we fell so far and fast, what hope do we have today?

Fortunately we have one hope, and that is the promise that very soon Christ will return and make all things new. And that He will wipe away the cruel hand of sin so that all of His children shall walk in the paths of love and peace no matter the race or ethnicity. And this world of fear and hate will be a distant memory.
